Thank you Lord for allowing in sight

thank you Lord for allowing in sight
unlike the wandering loner Clym
who stood on a parched boulder to preach
bereiving his mom's life Eustasia shortened
it's better to watch the twinkling clear waters
of the glistening Han River

better to see nature's blending of gentle winds
with egrets and cranes, sparrows and swallows,
butterflies, dragonflies, moths and cicadas
than wet farts behind the motorcycle sputters
mountains discerned from crescendoing mist
behind the glistening Han River

candy-colored mauseleum's pointy peasant hat
dry white bones in the damp mountains green
round abandoned tower rising over the eastern shore
asian beauties from petticoat junction appear
palm tree hair and coconut eyes peep out
naked in the fields beyond the Han River

thank you, my Lord, for this lovely day
a day in my life-string of pearly light days
rice paddies rippling ladened with seed
